Editorial – Weekly N°26 · 2026
This week, my readings outline a map of contemporary vulnerabilities. Children exposed to screens, to domestic violence, to the shortcomings of a strained protection system. Young adults who confide their loneliness to artificial intelligences due to a lack of available human interlocutors. Modest individuals caught earlier, more harshly, by cancers that could have been avoided. Behind every report, every meta-analysis, every institutional opinion, the same question arises: are our public policies up to the inequalities they claim to reduce? The Defender of Rights highlights the blind spots in child protection. The CNCDH measures the persistence of everyday racism. The HAS attempts to place the individual at the centre of an increasingly digitised medico-social support. In the face of the accumulation of alerts, the temptation to despair is real — but these texts are also tools. It is up to you to take hold of them.
